Privacy

OGPreview.io has no accounts and no database. Here is everything that happens to your data.

URLs you check

When you check a URL, our server fetches that page and its og:image once, reads the tags and sends the result back to you. We don’t store the URL or the result. Like any web server, our host (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs.

Pasted HTML and images

“Paste HTML” mode, the crop tester and the OG image generator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload there is sent anywhere, except that your browser loads the og:image URL it finds so it can measure it.

AI suggestions

Only when you press an AI button, the page’s title, description, main heading and a short text excerpt (up to about 1,500 characters) are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an OpenAI model to write suggestions. They aren’t stored by us.

Stored in your browser

To save you retyping, this site keeps in your browser’s localStorage: your last six checked URLs, your generator form and your image generator settings. It never leaves your device.
