OGPreview.io is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our Open Graph meta tag generator and validator tool.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All data processing happens locally in your browser.

• Form inputs for meta tag generation are processed client-side only
• Your generated configurations are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB
• No user accounts, registration, or authentication systems exist
• No server-side databases store your data

URL Validation Feature

When you use the URL validator feature:

• The URL you submit is sent to our server to fetch and parse the page's meta tags
• This is necessary to avoid CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) restrictions
• The fetched HTML is parsed and returned to your browser
• We do not log, store, or retain any URLs you validate
• The fetched content is not stored and is discarded immediately after parsing

Local Storage

OGPreview.io uses your browser's IndexedDB to store:

• Your history of generated meta tag configurations
• Timestamps of when configurations were created
• Your preferences and settings

This data remains entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. You can clear this data at any time using the "Clear History" feature or your browser's storage settings.

Third-Party Services

OGPreview.io uses minimal third-party services to improve the website:

Vercel Analytics

• Purpose: Anonymous page view analytics (no personal data collected)
• What is collected: Page URLs, basic performance metrics
• Privacy: No cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking
• Provider: Vercel Inc.

We do NOT use:

• Google Analytics or similar tracking tools
• Social media pixels or tracking scripts
• Advertising networks or affiliate tracking
• Third-party CDNs that collect personal data

Cookies

OGPreview.io does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Any cookies that may be set are strictly functional and necessary for the tool to operate (such as session management for the URL validator API).

Data Security

Since we don't collect or store personal data on our servers, there's minimal security risk. The only data exchange is:

• URLs sent to our proxy service for validation (not logged or stored)
• All connections are encrypted using HTTPS

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing for us to delete, modify, or export from our systems. You have complete control over any data stored locally in your browser:

• Use the "Clear History" button to delete your saved configurations
• Clear your browser's IndexedDB storage to remove all local data
• Use your browser's privacy settings to manage local storage

Children's Privacy

OGPreview.io does not knowingly collect any information from children. The tool is designed for web developers and marketers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
